Modern Thinking About Lingering QC Questions

Wednesday, August 7, 7 – 8:30 a.m.
Anaheim Marriott, Platinum Ballroom 5
Supported by Bio-Rad Laboratories

This session will answer three of the most common questions labs ask of our quality control (QC) experts. How do I establish QC targets when I have several identical instruments running the same tests? Can analyte performance dictate QC frequency? And, is there an easier way to perform a QC crossover study?

Attendees will learn to:

  • Describe two QC strategies for multiple instruments and the advantage of each.
  • Explain why instrument performance is not enough when determining QC frequency and identify a 2nd criterion.
  • Identify the number of data points and criteria needed for a reduced crossover study based on the latest version of CLSI C24.
